Supporters Frequently Asked Questions (or Questions We Think You’d Ask)
What does a membership cost?
Supporter memberships come in two flavors. The Monthly Supporters membership is $3 per month. The Yearly Supporters membership is $30 per year; a savings of $6. Both membership options have reoccurring billing cycles as controlled by PayPal.
How do I pay for my membership?
At the moment we only can accept payments through PayPal but PayPal does allow payments to be made from credit cards.
What do I get with my Supporters membership?
The Suppoters membership is still evolving. Right now membership allows you to read the comic one issue (about 24 pages) ahead of the free site in a larger format and without ads. You also get discounts on books and other swag by using the Supporters Only store. Extras such as art, background, and maybe a Supporters forum will be added as we grow. We welcome your suggestions on how to improve at support@fallenkitten.com.
When does the Supporters comic update?
The Supporters comic will update on Monday and Thursday like the free version of the comic. It just runs roughly an issue ahead.
What if I want to change my membership?
You may, at any time, upgrade your Monthly membership to a Yearly one by emailing us at support@fallenkitten.com. Upgrading starts a new billing cycle and will be scheduled to correspond with your former Monthly membership. You may also downgrade a Yearly membership to a Monthly one by emailing us at support@fallenkitten.com. This can only be done at the end of your Yearly billing period.
If you have a month-long Trial membership, you will be asked automatically to upgrade to a Monthly or Yearly membership at the end of your trial. You will not be automatically charged unless you chose to upgrade.
What if I want a refund?
Due to the nature of membership benefits we cannot offer a refund on Monthly or Yearly memberships. We ask that you take advantage of a Trial membership when they are available or start out with a Monthly membership if you are unsure of how long you wish to remain a Supporter.
If you believe there has been a billing error, please email us a support@fallenkitten.com and we will fix the problem as soon as possible.
How do I cancel my membership?
If you wish to cancel your Supporters membership, you may do so by simply ending your payments on your PayPal account prior to your next billing period. Canceling your membership in this manner will result in an immediate loss of access to the Supporters site. This is a function of the membership software and unfortunately we have no control over it.
What if there is a loss of service or lack of updates?
We strive to keep the website up and running with regular updates, but sometimes things happen that are beyond our control. We cannot issue individual daily adjustments but if a major outage occurs (longer than a week) we will work out appropriate compensation.
